A blog review of Golden State Cars

The Medium is the Message

The blog layout is clean and a tad mechanical and so, is nearly spot-on.

I like the two column layout. Many blogs bombard the visitor. So this is good.

Pictures Speak Louder than Words

However, the blog talks about sophisticated cars. It would good if the design reflected this.

A blog background image is easy to include using CSS. A blown up image of a Mclaren veering around a verge, for instance, would immediately tell the reader what they’ll read.

Again, the blog header is clean, but also template-like. This is easy to spice up and personalize. Here’s how to do it.

Can I bite it?

Try not to give the blog reader more than they can chew. Break your writing into bite sized chunks - allow for digestion and appreciation.

Also, using bold text and different font sizes helps to highlight central points.

A final point.

Most bloggers try to fund their blogging. However, try to be subtle.

Think of pay-per-click advertising like fishing.

A great big banner saying “click here”, is like pouncing into the lake with a spear. Be quieter and make the visitor think that they want it…

If you’re writing about cars, try advertise products or services related to cars.

Adsense for Content works on keywords, so for targeted ads you can use words in your headings and the first line of paragraphs like: car, engine, brand names of cars, vehicle, review, etc.

Hope that helps, Chris? Thanks for submitting your site!

Love, Lilly
