Day 2: How to blog in 7 days

Design your blog
All blog templates need four common elements: a header, a footer, navigation, content.
The rest of your blog is up to you…Two columns or three? A blog with a vomit pink theme or sultry black? A blog logo or simply your blog name?
Yesterday we looked at blog identity and blogging systems. Today we start designing your blog.
Here are some top ranking blogs, for an idea of what works:
1. Gala Darling: iCING
2. Boing Boing
3. I Can Has Cheez Burger
4. Seth Godin’s Blog
5. PostSecret Blogspot
Sketch a rough idea of your blog on scrap paper. (Save yourself time - do this before looking at the millions of templates available - hone down your choice!)
Some advice: keep it simple. Try to keep the number of columns minimum. Try to give yourself a logical and easy to use navigation. Create a strong and memorable header.
Now, choose a blog template that fits your original idea closest.
Congratulation, you have chosen one template out of the millions of templates available!
Your blog needs a personal stamp of individuality.
